The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) recently updated their web site regarding coverage of PET and Other Neuroimaging Devices for Suspected Dementia. The summary and transcript of the National Institute of Medicine/CMS Expert Panel meeting held April 5th, 2004, as well as the Technology Assessment submitted to CMS by the Agency for Health Research Quality, are now available online (see related items below). A decision regarding the CMS coverage of PET for suspected dementia is expected on or by June 8th, 2004.
