Dear Valued Customer:

Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging is fully committed to updating you on the actions we are taking in the wake of Mallinckrodt’s technetium Tc99m generator recall.

On Tuesday, December 6, Mallinckrodt announced that they do not expect to resume market supply of technetium Tc99m generators until around March 31, 2006. This follows Mallinckrodt’s announcement of a voluntary recall of their technetium Tc99m generators last month.

In the wake of this development, Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging remains steadfast in its commitment to work aggressively and to utilize all resources at our disposal to meet the needs of you and your patients. We continue to work closely with molybdenum-99 suppliers to meet the market’s technetium needs across North America.

At this time, we do not anticipate any appreciable difficulties in meeting overall technetium Tc99m generator demand in North America for as long as required. However, some impacted generator customers may experience sporadic disruptions in supply and adjustments to their delivery schedule. We will continue to work closely with your radiopharmacy distributor to meet your technetium needs and mitigate any potential impact to you. As previously noted, our increase in production to meet the technetium gap has no bearing on our ability to supply vials of Cardiolite® (Kit for the Preparation of Technetium Tc99m Sestamibi for Injection), DEFINITY® (Vial for Perflutren Lipid Microsphere Injectable Suspension), or any other Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging product.
