House Passes FDA User Fee Reauthorization Compromise by Voice Vote

June 21, 2012

On Wednesday, June 20, 2012, the House passed by voice vote a compromise measure to reauthorize drug and medical-device-user fees for  five years and to create two new user fee programs, one for generic drugs and the other for generic biologic drugs.

This bill is a compromise between the previous Senate and House versions of the reauthorization user fee measure and now returns to the Senate for final vote next week. It is hoped that the bill is passed by the President before the fourth of July recess.

SNM will bring you updates as they come.
